In addition to scientists from the Department of Animal Sciences, faculty and staff from the Departments of Agronomy, Forestry & Natural Resources, and Entomology also use FPAC for research. Heifers produced at FPAC and not kept for herd replacements are sometimes used on campus for research. Steers are weaned in the fall, back-grounded at another location, and then also used on campus in various research projects.
