The Beck Agricultural Center as it appeared Wednesday, October 31, 2007, for the building dedication.
This multi-purpose room, where lunch was served following the dedication, will be used for testing and evaluating crops and soils.
Amid a shower of confetti, Sonny and Glendia Beck (right), Randy Woodson, the Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture and members of the Beck family cut the ribbon to officially open the Beck Agricultural Center Wednesday.
Sonny Beck wields a mighty pair of scissors for the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Beck Agricultural Center Wednesday morning. Beck is flanked by Purdue president Dr. France A. Córdova, his wife, Glendia and Randy Woodson, the Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture.
Purdue President Dr. France A. Córdova chats with the youngest members of the Beck family prior to the dedication ceremony for the Beck Agricultural Center in West Lafayette. A gift from the Beck family helped make the center possible.
The spacious entryway, to the Beck Agricultural Center, where guests mingled Wednesday morning, is illuminated by both natural and man-made light.
Guests arriving at the dedication ceremony walked underneath an antique International tractor positioned above the entryway to the Beck Agricultural Center.
Jim Beaty, superintendent of the agronomy research center, played traffic cop Wednesday morning, directing vehicles to various lots around the Beck Agricultural Center.
Members of the Beck family pose for a unique family photo in the Boilermaker Special positioned outside the Beck Agricultural Center Wednesday morning.
