About half of Purdue Biochemistry bachelor of science degree holders go on to graduate or professional school (medical, veterinary, dental, law, etc.), while the other half go to work in biochemistry-related industry careers. Dr. Mariah Covey is a native of South Bend, Indiana and grew up knowing that she would always be a vet. After graduating from high school, she spent eight years at Purdue University. She graduated with a BS degree in biochemistry in 2002, and a DVM in 2006. She has worked at Kryder Veterinary Clinic in Granger, Indiana, since 2007.
