General Information

Responsible for all aspects of program planning for initial pesticide applicator certification training including curriculum development, budgeting, and evaluation. Provides training classroom instruction in pest management principals, formulation choices, pesticide control laws, and calibration arithmetic. Develops pesticide applicator certification training manuals. Responds to telephone and email inquiries from clientele about certification requirements and training opportunities. Participates, by invitation, as an instructor at University- and industry-sponsored recertification programs. Serves as a regional and national resource/specialist regarding applicator licensure test development.
