Youth Livestock Exhibitors as Ambassadors for Animal Agriculture

Pork Quality Assurance + (PQA)

Pork Quality Assurance Plus Youth Certification - The Boone County workshop certification dates are March 19 and June 18, 2013, each  training starts at 7:00 pm at the fairgrounds. If you have previously attended a training and need to recertify (age 12 and above, as of January 1, 2013) need to attend the quiz session starting at 6:30pm.

All 4-H swine members exhibiting swine at the Boone County 4-H Fair or Indiana State Fair must obtain certification by attending one of these two scheduled workshops, or a workshop in another county.  On-line certification is no longer an approved option.

Livestock Location Approval Form - to be completed and submitted to the Extension Office for those members who are housing their 4-H animals at a place other than their family's property.

*In order to exhibit swine at the 2013 Boone County 4-H Fair, each 4-H member MUST complete the Youth PQA Plus certification by attending the certification workshop one of the certification workshops listed above AND each member is required to complete the grade appropriate quiz that accompanies the swine resource manual.
