Brown Bag Series
Join Nancy Hudson Purdue Extension HHS Educator - Clark County for a fun, Brown Bag "Lunch & Learn"!  Take time each month to learn about new topics and ideas just for you!!
Please note some dates have changed.
May 15 - Update your Home Decorating Update your surroundings with new colors, new arrangements, a few new accessories and pehaps even a new piece of furniture.
June19 - What's the Sticky on Gluten? Defines gluten, describes a gluten-free diet and discusses who should follow this diet.
July 10 - Wardrobe Stategies for Women Learning how to look good is simply a matter of understanding your body and using wardrobe strategies to enhance the positive and conceal the negative
August 14 - Caring for Your Textile Heirlooms Learn how to clean heirlooms and how to select storage containers and materials to preserve them.
All sessions will be held at the Clark County Extension Office.  Please RSVP one week prior to the program by calling 256-4591.
Extension Homemakers Scholarship
The Clark County Extension Homemakers are awarding two scholarships in 2014 One will be awarded to a high school senior (boy or girl) and one will be awarded to any other person interested in continuing their educaiton.  Applicant may be single or married and must be a resident of Clark County.  You may pick up an application at the Extension Office or download it at Extension Homemaker Scholarship.  Applications must be postmarked or delivered to the Extension Office by April 30, 2014.
Mastery of Aging Well: A Program for Healthy Living
Nancy Hudson, HHS Agent for the Clark County Purdue Extension Office will be hosting a special interest series on the Mastery of Aging Well. The series is designed to help you learn practical, research based solutions to many problems that aging adults and their families face. 
The series will include:
Tuesday April 29 - Memory Difficulties: Should I Be Worried?
Tuesday May 27 - Depression in Later Life
Tuesday June 24 - Medication Jeopardy
Tuesday July 29 - Food As Medicine?
Tuesday August 26 - Physical Activity and Exercise in Later Life.
The program will be held at the Clark County Purdue Extension Office located at the Clark County 4-H Fairgrounds from 10:00am to 11:30 am.   There is no charge for the program, but pre-registration would be appreciated.
