4-H CAMP

June 5 - 7, 2013

Clinton County can send 22 4-H Campers to Camp Techumseh for 4-H Camp.  This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and explore new things.  Sign-up for the 22 is on a first come first serve basis.  You can begin signing up on April 1st, payment must accompany your registration to be officially signed up.

 AEROSPACE SCIENCE WORKSHOP  

 June 12 -14, 2013                   Science Workshop Delegate Form

Clinton County can send delegates who are currently in grades 9-12.  Build model rockets and planes, take a ride in a small airplane, experience a flight simulator and talk to staff and faculty as you learn about the principles of flight and career opportunities.  Limit: 50 participants.  Cost is $50 for Clinton County 4-H Club members and $180 for non-members.

Clinton County can send two (2) persons in each species.  Only 4-H'ers who are in grades 9-12 are eligible.  The program is designed for young people who have an interest in one of the ten animal science areas:  beef, dairy, horses, poultry, sheep, swine, goat, rabbit, large animal vet and small animal vet.  The conference presents information on livestock and poultry production and management, as well as career opportunities in animal agriculture. Held at Purdue University.  Please sign up and pay required fee at the Extension Office by May 1. Cost is $50.00 for Clinton County 4-H Club members and $180 for non-members.

Software Engineering: Develop an iPhone application to keep track of your expenses.  Limit: 25 participants per track  Please sign up and pay required fee at the Extension Office by May 1.  Cost is $50 for Clinton County 4-H Club members and $180 for non-members.

Clinton County can send delegates who are in grades 9-12.  Investigate agricultural & biological engineering, civil engineering, and electrical engineering.  Your team will design, build, and compete in a mousetrap-powered vehicle race.  Tour labs and spend time with Purdue faculty. Limited to 50 participants.  Please sign up and pay required fee at the Extension Office by May 1.  Cost is $50 for Clinton County 4-H members and $180 for non-members.

 FOOD SCIENCE AND NUTRITION WORKSHOP Appllication due to Extension Office by May 1.

This workshop is open to boys and girls who are in grades 9-12.  Join Purdue faculty in their laboratories to find out how corn is processed to make cheese puffs, why juice in juice boxes does not spoil, how low-calorie food is made, and how the look of food affects your taste perception.  Please sign up and pay required fee at the Extension Office by May 1.  Cost is $50 for Clinton County 4-H Club members and $180 for non-members.

 

PINE WORKSHOP (Plant, Insects, Natural Resources, Environment)

Clinton County can send delegates who are in grades 9-12.  Work with Purdue fculty and staff to learn about plants, insects, bioenergy, and other natural resources.  You choose from a variety of 4-H project areas: beekeeping, crops, entomology, floriculture, forestry, geology, lawn and garden, plant science, small grains, soil and water conservation, weeds, weather, and wildlife.  Held at Purdue University. Please sign up and pay required fee at the Extension Office by May 1.  Cost is $50.00.

Clinton County can send delegates who just completed grades 7 - 9.  Have an opportunity to explore careers, learn about leadership, live on the Purdue campus and meet friends from all over the state.  Please sign up and pay required fee at the Extension Office by May 1.  Cost is $50 for Clinton County 4-H Members and $170 for non-members.
