HOME & MONEY

Every day, we make decisions about how we spend our money. These decisions determine what we eat, where we live, how we travel, what we wear, and the fun things we do. The way we spend or save money today will determine what we have and whether we can pay our bills in six months, in a year, or far into the future. Many American families spend money as fast as it comes into their households — and may find themselves in debt when unplanned expenses occur.

Meeting Day-to-Day Financial Needs

Managing Your Money in Tough Times

Meeting day-to-day needs is a challenge for many. Over the past few months, money (how we earn it, spend it, and plan to accumulate it for future use) has been in the news and on our minds more than ever before.

          Where Does Your Money Go?

You will learn to recognize where your money goes, stop spending leaks to save money for what you really want and develop a spending-savings plan. Attendees will learn how spending money today will affect their future spending, how to take control of their money, how to plan for emergencies, and how little expenditures add up. Call the DeKalb Co. Extension Office for more information.
