Why join 4-H Junior Leaders?
Serving as a 4-H Junior Leader is an honor, an opportunity, and a responsibility. You can become a Leader NOT a Follower. By being a Junior Leader, you can:
- Æ Help younger 4-H members learn about 4-H.
- Æ Help develop a local and county 4-H club program. (Junior Leaders serve on 4-H Council)
Æ Develop your ability to work with others.
Æ Make new friends.
Æ Become eligible for 4-H trips, awards, and scholarships.
Æ Develop your abilities to plan, organize, and reason.
Æ Be a leader in your community.
To be a Junior Leader, you must
Æ Be enrolled in 4-H for the current year.
Æ Be in 7th-12th grades during the current school year.
Æ Attend at least three 4-H Junior Leader meetings.
Æ Help raise money for the club.
Æ Assist with judging at the fair.
Æ Earn at least 100 points (80 points for first-year Junior Leaders).
Æ Complete and submit your 4-H Junior Leader points and program evaluation by the
