Every day, we make decisions about how we spend our money. These decisions determine what we eat, where we live, how we travel, what we wear, and the fun things we do. The way we spend or save money today will determine what we have and whether we can pay our bills in six months, in a year, or far into the future. Many American families spend money as fast as it comes into their households — and may find themselves in debt when unplanned expenses occur.
Purdue Extension—Health and Human Sciences provides educational programs that increase knowledge, influence attitudes, teach skills, inspire aspirations and change behavior. In the area of Home and Money, those programs focus on the area of personal financial management.
