Online registration for the 2014 4-H year has begun! You can begin the enrollment process by clicking the following link: https://www.four-h.purdue.edu/enroll. If you need access to a computer or assistance with enrollment, you may call the office at 793-2297, email Anne at email@example.com, or stop by the office anytime Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Online Animal Enrollment for Horse and Pony and Goats: All 4-Hers who have signed up for Horse and Pony or who are showing goats need to complete the online animal enrollment by May 15th. Registration will be open March 19th. Be on the lookout for your Member ID and password from Anne Woolwine. Please contact Courtney at 793-2297 with questions or concerns.
The Beef Meeting will be held on January 15th at the d'Arlier in Veedersburg, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The 2014 Beef I.D. Day is currently being scheduled. NEW for 2014: All commercial heifers and steers should plan to attend the weigh in.
Beef Weigh-In and the Beef Workshop will be held on March 8th from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Veedersburg Sale Barn. For 2014: Any Steer planning to show at the 2014 Indiana State Fair must be weighed in! The workshop will focus on nutrition and health management and will begin at 11:30 a.m.
4-H Dog Obedience and Agility Callout will be held on March 26th at the d'Arlier Cultural Center in Veedersburg, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Practices will be held on Wednesday evenings from April 16th to July 9th with times to be announced at a later date. Sheep and Goat ID Day will be held on Saturday, May 10th, at the Fairgrounds from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. All meat and market goats must be tagged and retinal scanned. All market lambs and commercial ewes must be tagged and retinal scanned. All registered breeding sheep must be retinal scanned. Rabbit Tattoo Day will be held on May 10th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the 4-H Fairgrounds.
Fountain County 4-H Junior Leaders offers the opportunity to develop leadership abilities to plan, organize, and reason. While working with others they make new friends and become leaders in their community. Junior Leaders can become eligible for 4-H trips, awards, and scholarships.
The next Junior Leader meeting will be held on April 17th at the Fairgrounds, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Geranium orders will be collected at the meeting.
