Online Animal Enrollment is now open!  All 4-Hers who have signed up for Horse and Pony or who are showing goats need to complete the online animal enrollment by May 15th.  Be on the lookout for your Member ID and password from Anne Woolwine. Please contact Courtney at 793-2297 with questions or concerns.
Online registration for the 2014 4-H year has begun!  You can begin the enrollment process by clicking the following link:

Indiana Forage CouncilThe Indiana Forage Council will be holding their annual meeting and seminar on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Beef House in Covington, Indiana, beginning at 4:30 p.m.  Cost of the meal is $20 and advanced registration is required by April 18th.  Guest speakers include Scott Royer from Royer Farm Fresh Beef, Lamb, and Pork and Garret Miller with Hoosier Grassfed Beef.  For more information, please see the Indiana Forage Council Flyer
4-H Color RunThe First Annual Color Me Green 4-H Dash will be held on Saturday, June 28th.  This family fun event will kick off another great 4-H year and start the Fourth of July Celebration in Covington!  To receive a T-shirt and a discounted registration fee, please register on or before June 13th using the Color Me Green 4-H Dash Registration and Waiver Forms.  Fountain County 4-Hers who bring canned food will receive a $5 discount!
Looking for a fun and educational opportunity for this summer?  The Indiana 4-H Youth Development Program has some ideas for you!  Upcoming summer activities include Science Workshop, State 4-H Band, State 4-H Chorus, State Junior Leader Conference, 4-H Round-Up, State Fair Youth Leadership Conference, and /or State Fair 4-H Exhibit Hall Employment.  A summary of these events may be found in the 2014 Trips Brochure.  For more information, please contact the Extension Office at 793-2297.
Are you interested in gardening?  We have three workshops for you!  On February 27th, beginning at 6:00 p.m., is a program on Garden Trends for 2014.  A workshop on native and invasive plants will be held on March 13th, beginning at 6:30 p.m.  On April 24th, beginning at 6:00 p.m., is a program about composting and container gardening.  For more information, please view the Garden School Flyer.  To register for one or all of the workshops, please contact Courtney at the Extension Office at 793-2297.  All workshops will be held at the Covington Public Library.
The 2014 Fountain County Fair will be held July 11th-July 17th.  Save these dates and plan to attend! More information will be posted as it becomes available.
