ANR—Agriculture and Natural Resources

CED—County Extension Director

CES—Cooperative Extension Service

CFCS—Certified in Family and Consumer Sciences

CFLE—Certified Family Life Educator

CFS—Consumer & Family Sciences

CSREES—Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (old name of USDA agency, now NIFA)

EFNEP—Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program

F&N—Foods and Nutrition Specialty

FNA—Family Nutrition Advisor (EFNEP program)

FNP—Family Nutrition Program

FRM—Family Resource Management Specialty

HD—Human Development Specialty

HHB—Have a Healthy Baby

HHS - Health and Human Sciences

IEEA—Indiana Extension Educators Association

Land-Grant—1862, 1890, and/or 1994 university in each state (money from sale of public lands granted to state institution) that conducts practical research for the benefit of state’s residents. (Purdue University is Indiana's only land-grant institution under the 1862 Morrill Land-Grant College Act, signed by president Abraham Lincoln).

NIFA—National Institute of Food and Agriculture (Agency within USDA through which the Cooperative Extension Service and other programs are conducted.)
