4-H YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
WELCOME to Henry County 4-H for the 2013 year! My name is Bethany Ratts and I am the 4-H Youth Development Educator for our county. I am pleased that you have an interest in 4-H and want to learn more about the program.
All youth need caring, supportive relationships in their lives and 4-H Youth Development programs create opportunities for long-term relationships as well as being a fun, safe program to do during the summer.
4-H is a way for youth to develop skills in a specific area, gain practical knowledge and wisdom through observing, doing and living through experiences. It also allows you to build skills, exercise leadership and form relationships with caring adults while helping out your community!

What is 4-H? - Everyone wants to be a part of it, so lets explore what 4-H really is and how you can get involved!
What about those in grades K-2nd grade? We call them Mini 4-H'ers and they can be a part of 4-H too!
We can also tell you when your club will be meeting! By attending club meetings, you gain first-hand knowledge and experience about 4-H. Members learn the4-H pledge, mission, vision and motto as well as what the 4-H's stand for!!!
