Cooking with Love

Cooking with Love is a cooking class that started meeting once a month in June of 2009. Love INC, Purdue Extension's Family Nutrition Program and A lo Nuestro collaborated to meet a need in the community. The class began to teach Love INC clients how to use tortilla flour they were receiving from the food pantry.

The cooking class has expanded due to demand and requests for more classes. In January 2010, there were enough participants interested that four classes were being offered each month. In September 2010, a fifth class started in Warren, Indiana in coordination with the Bread of Life Food Pantry. Starting in September of 2012 six classes were offered each month, adding one in Mt. Etna.   In January of 2013, a Spanish speaking Cooking With Love class began.
