  • Welcome to the Jasper County 4-H Youth Program.  Sharon Blasky is the 4-H Youth Educator for Jasper County.  You can contact her anytime with questions you may have concerning 4-H, at 219-866-5741, or 219-956-3606, ext. 4961.  You can also contact her via e-mail at sblasky@purdue.edu

4-H is a fun, educational program for young people.  The purpose of 4-H is to develop leadership, character, and good citizenship in America's youth.  

4-H is open to all youth from grades 3-12, regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin or handicap, and involves rural as well as urban youth. 

                                                                                                                           

All 4-H Horse & Pony, along with 4-H Pygmy goats MUST ENROLL THEIR ANIMALS ONLINE this year.  Please go to the main page of our website and follow the instructions under   "Hot Topics" to begin your enrollment.  Enrollment Deadline MUST BE COMPLETED by 11:59 p.m. EST on May 15th.  NO EXCEPTIONS

Jasper County Mini 4-H Program

Mini 4-H is for youth in 1st & 2nd grade. 

 

New2013 Mini 4-H Schedule

If you know of a youth in 1st – 2nd grade, please pass on the word about our Mini 4-H program. Mini 4-H’ers will meet once a month, beginning in March, and wrapping up in June. The members will work with adult volunteers and Jr. Leaders to complete an activity at each meeting. The will then be invited to exhibit these projects during the county fair in July. The schedule for the meetings is: Mondays, March 4, April 1, and May 13, from 6-7:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 15, from 9-11 a.m. All meetings will take place at the fairgrounds. Advanced registration is appreciated, but not required.

Jasper County Junior Leaders

4-H Junior Leaders is for youth in grades 7-12.  It is an opportunity for youth to learn leadership while organizing and performing community service activities.  They work hard and play hard with monthly meetings, community service opportunities and FUN activities.  Please mark Junior Leaders on your enrollment form if you are interested in a year full of FUN and FULLFILLMENT!

Giving to the 4-H Program:  Booster Club

Donations are a vital part of keeping the 4-H program going in Jasper County.  Our  4-H Booster Club works at coordinating with donors to make sure that their donation is used to best benefit the 4-H program and the youth involved.  To find out how you can give click here.
