2014 4-H Enrollment Open House is Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the 4-H Exhibit Hall at the Jay County Fairgrounds 806 E. Votaw Street, Portland, IN 47371. (Leaders/Club set-up is at 4:30 p.m.)
Just a reminder…All regular and mini 4-H members need to re-enroll each year for 4-H. Online enrollment and paper enrollment forms are available from December 1 until the deadline on February 7, 2014. Annual State 4-H Program fee is $15 for Regular 4-H Maximum $45 per household. No fees for Mini 4-H enrollment.
4-H Scholarships are due on January 15, 2014. Youth in grades 10-12 are invited to come to the Extension Office to meet with Cara to learn more about scholarships that range from $250-$1,000. 2014 Fair Dates Jay County 4-H Fair is July 5-11, 2014. The Jay County Fair is July 7-13. The Indiana State Fair is August 1-17, 2013.
Adult Behavioral Expectations Form (ABE) We are required to have signed Adult Behavioral Expectations (ABE) forms on file for all 4-H Adult Volunteers. Deadline is January 1, 2014.

Volunteers Please Plan Ahead If you use the 4-H facilities at the fairgrounds for workshops/meetings/fundraisers of your project/club/committee, we encourage you to plan your dates ahead of time. To aid in cooperation with the 4-H building’s rental dates, we would like to have as many 2014 4-H dates on the calendar as possible by the end of 2013.

Junior Leader Call Out is scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Jay County Fairground 4-H Exhibit Hall. Junior Leaders is open to 4-H members in Grades 7-12.
On-line Animal Enrollment is required for Horse and Pony and new this year, Goat (pygmy, meat and dairy).projects. More information for county and/or state ID requirements, enrollment, and exhibition rules will be posted as they come available. Animal county 4-H show dates still TBD.
