4-H member teaching students about beef

Each spring, all public and private schools in Lake County are invited to bring their 3rd/4th grade students to learn firsthand about agriculture and our country's food supply.  Classes rotate through educational stations during the two-hour program.

There is no charge for students to attend. The program is sponsored by the Lake County Farm Bureau, Inc., the South Lake County Agricultural Historical Society, and other contributors and volunteers.  This is a special activity for students by reservation only and is not a public event.

If you would like more information about bringing students to Agriculture Awareness Days, please email lake4hinfo@purdue.edu or call the 4-H staff at 755-3240.
