4-H Classroom Chicken Embryology
Each year, all public and private schools in Lake County are invited to participate in the Chicken Embryology program. 4-H volunteers deliver pre-incubated eggs to schools to be hatched in classroom incubators. After two weeks, the volunteers return to collect the chicks, which are then distributed to our 4-H members. A half-day in-service training is offered free of charge for all participating teachers prior to egg delivery.
