The Purdue Master Gardeners are a group of volunteers that "Help Others Grow" in their community. They help at local parks and are available during the Lake County Fair for those that have questions. For more information about the Lake County Master Gardener Program, see this brochure.

Help Line for Horticulture

The Master Gardeners work a Help Line between May to September at the Extension Office for questions from homeowners. The questions may range from what is wrong with my lawn to vegetables to trees. They can also identify plants and insects or their damage. You may call 219-755-3240 or send an email.
