Lunch & Learn Lectures for Gardeners (Noon-1:00pm)

If you want to know more about gardening, attend the Purdue Extension lunch & learn sessions for gardeners. “Each month a free lecture will be offered over the lunch hour on a variety of garden-related subjects,” says Steve Mayer, Extension Educator-Horticulture, for Purdue Extension-Marion County. The sessions will be held in Discovery Hall in the northwest corner of the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.

The April session for 2014 will be: Friday, April 25, 2014, noon – Diagnosing Tree Problems, by Steve Mayer, Purdue Extension-Marion County. The principles of tree problem diagnosis will be presented using the mnemonic "diseased tree" to help you remember what is involved in the diagnostic process.

The May session will be: Friday, May 2, 2014, noon - Starting a Community Garden, by Ginny Roberts, Purdue Extension-Marion County. Starting a community garden requires more than just the knowledge of growing food. Come and learn what is needed.  Answers will be given to common questions, and bring your own questions. Be sure to attend if you are starting a new garden this spring!

Bring your own lunch. There is no charge to participate and parking is free. However, please pre-register before the day of the program. For more information or to register, call (317) 275-9286 or e-mail: dschelsk@purdue.edu now. Thanks.

If you require an accommodation or special assistance for one of our programs due to a disability, please contact us at 317-275-9286 prior to the session.
