Parenting Counts  
Provides video vignettes from family life coupled with group sharing and discussion of sound parenting techniques. 

Dialogic Reading
Help your child develop literacy skills while learning to love books with this hands-on relationship enriching program.  Excellent for parents or teachers.

Have A Healthy Baby
Prenatal nutrition and parenting education program consisting of six lessons that emphasize nutrition and lifestyle choices — smoking, drinking, and drugs. The program is research-based and taught by trained, caring professionals.

  • Raising Healthy Eaters
    Geared for parents and providers of children ages 2-5, classes include activities, food preparation, and discussion focusing on nutrition, eating behaviors, and parenting.  
  • Tools for Healthy Eaters
  • Presentation for 4th and 5th grade classrooms in Clay and Owen Counties that provides elementary students with information they can begin to use immediately for building long,  healthy lives and lasting relationships - Jointly presented by the Health & Human Sciences Educator and the Family Nutrion Program Coordinator.

    Utilizing everyday household materials, these play kits provide hands-on activities for parents or child care providers to use with children

                • Provides research-based information, recommendations, and activities to help children understand political violence, cope with fears and sadness when groups are in conflict, and learn how to make peace. Includes information and resources for parents, children/teens, educators, media, and researchers.
                  Provider and Parent Relationships
                  This site is dedicated to helping providers and parents give better support to children as they grow. It is written for childcare providers—those who take care of infants and toddlers, preschoolers, or school-age children. It explains how providers can work with parents and talk with them about many different issues. To support parents, the site includes materials that providers can print out and share with them.
