Projects due Wednesday , July 17th 4 to 7 pm
State Fair Exhibits:
Each county may send one exhibit from grade 3, one exhibit from grade 4, one exhibit from grades 5 and 6, one exhibit from grades 7 and 8, and two exhibits from grades 9 and up - a total of six exhibits.
1.Comply with all the requirements listed at the beginning of this “4-H Exhibit Hall Project” section, the “Putnam County 4-H Fair Rules” section, and “Indiana and Putnam County 4-H Policy/Terms” section.
2.Attach the county’s official 3” x 4" project label to each exhibit item. See the “Putnam County 4-H Fair Rules” section of this handbook for example.
3. Items exhibited must have been made by 4-H member while enrolled in the project. A note (on 5" x 8" card) needs to be attached to the project explaining the exhibit and its intended use and the record sheet must be included.
Exhibit one circuit board and label as either parallel or series circuit. Board must be finished (sanded & sealed) before attaching metallic parts.
Exhibit one of the following: magnetic powered flashlight a poster as outlined in the project manual or CD.
Grade 5 or 6
Exhibit one of the following (no molded plugs): an extension cord ; incandescent or fluorescent trouble light; or a poster as outlined in the project manual.
Grade 7 or 8
Exhibit a new or remade lamp, poster, or display board. (no molded plugs)
Grade 9 & up
Select one of the following areas for study: heating and cooling; lighting; electronics; power ;consumer buying; better methods – electrically careers.
Exhibit one article made, a written report, a chart, a labeled diagram or labeled photographs that tell the story, as listed in the project manual. (no molded plugs).
