Join us at the Rush County Fair in 2012. It will be from Saturday, June 23 through Saturday, June 30. Yes, rides will start on Saturday this year.

Walking opportunities are scheduled in the upcoming months. F.I.T. is one of the action teams of Rush County's health coalition - Partners for a Healthy Rush County. More information can be obtained from the F.I.T. Brochure.
 
Walkabouts are at designated times and places. They will assist you in experiencing new walking locations in Rush County, find new walking partners, and in the end - you will walk more.
 
The first Walkabout is Saturday, May 19, 12:30 from the Root BUilding to the Nature Center north of RES East.  Marvin Kuhn will give walkers a tour of the nature center.
 
The second Walkabout is Monday, May 21, 6 pm at the Rushville Amphitheater, 100 West Water Street.
 
The third  is Wednesday, May 23, Noon. Meet at 13th & Tony Stewart Drive (NE of RCHS) - will be walking through Memorial Park.
 
The fourth is Friday, May 25, 7:30 a.m. at the RCHS/BRMS track. Meet at the concession stand.
 
 

Friday, August 3 through Sunday, August 19. Come join the fun at the Indiana State Fair. Rush County is well represented with many 4-H'ers showing animals or having exhibits at the 4-H Exhibit Hall and Centennial Hall. Programs are available at the Extension Office in the Courthouse.
The Rush County Parenting Council is open to individuals and organizations who are interested in fostering the development of effective parenting skills and building a system of good support for families raising children in Rush County. The Council meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., in Room 102 (Commissioners' Room) of the Rush County Courthouse.
The Council has prepared a brochure of Parenting Resources in Rush County. Copies of the brochure may be obtained at the Rush County Extension Office, Room 103 of the Rush County Courthouse, or online under the Parenting Link in the Family heading on the left side of this page. Captain Cash Says...Capt Cash
Captain Cash promotes an understanding of financial lieteracy, encourages students to save by showing them how, guides students to spend less than they earn, and helps students gain an understanding of what borrowing money means.
Captain Cash is designed to guide students as they learn abou real-life money management. This progoram brings an understanding and a feeling of control as elementary school students learn how to manage money now and in the future.
