Animal News April 2013
Dear 4-H Animal Members,
Are you doing those chores? Now that you have your animals or are getting them soon, you need to be sure you don't miss the 4-H Animal Enrollment Deadline and Ownership Deadline - May 15 (for most animals). Don’t miss out on the Animal Workshop on May 3 (look for more details on page 5). Enclosed are the forms that need to be completed and returned to the Extension Office by May 15 or May 4 for Sheep & Goats.
You may drop the forms by the office, leave them in the mailbox out in front of the office or send by mail. Although if you choose to mail your forms, you will want to be sure they are postmarked May 15 or earlier. Save yourself challenges and finish your forms early.
Please be sure to complete the Animal Information and Animal Location Form (front and back). Please return this form with the others by May 15th.
Pard’s (Western Store) in Urbana is offering a 15% discount to 4-H Members (coupon on page 5). Many business’s offer discounts (never hurts to ask) or support the 4-H program in other ways. Check out the article about feed tags on page 5.
The information in this newsletter will help you to be successful in your project. Please feel free to call the office or the superintendent to ask questions.
