The Nature of Teaching Mammals
June 25 - 29, 2012
The course features content-rich presentations, interdisciplinary hands-on classroom activities, field experiences, and a trunk of take-home resources for use in your classroom. Participants will experience the principles of scientific inquiry applied to real-world natural resources research projects through classroom and field exercises.
This course is recommended to all K-12 educators and administrators interested in integrating natural resource activities into their curricula. Materials received during the workshop are suitable for all Indiana K-12 science standards. After completion of this course, participants will be able to create additional lesson plans using the provided material.
The Nature of Teaching Mammals Workshop will be held at the John S. Wright Conference Center of Purdue University near West Lafayette, IN.
