2013 Annual Landowner Conference and IFWOA Annual Meeting

The 2013 conference took place on November 1-2 at Clifty Falls State Park with over 180 in attendance. The agenda included an morning and afternoon field day on Friday. Saturdayincluded presentations with topics of interest to woodland owners. Saturday evening was the awards banquet with presentation of the state Charles Deam Forest Stewardship Award.

2012 Annual Landowner Conference and IFWOA Annual Meeting

The 2012 conference took place on November 2-3 at Brown County State Park with over 170 in attendance. The agenda included an morning and afternoon field day on Friday. Saturday included presentations with topics of interest to woodland owners. Saturday evening was the awards banquet with presentation of the state Charles Deam Forest Stewardship Award.

2011 Annual Landowner Conference and IFWOA Annual Meeting

The 2011 Landowner Conference took place on November 4-5, in Jasper, Indiana with over 150 in attendance. The agenda included an afternoon field day on Friday, November 4th and a morning chainsaw techniques and safety class. Saturday, November 5th included presentations with topics of interest to woodland owners. Saturday evening was the awards banquet with presentation of the state Charles Deam Forest Stewardship Award.

2010 Annual Landowner Conference and IFWOA Annual Meeting

The 2010 Conference took place on November 5-6, in Richmond, Indiana. The agenda included an afternoon field day on Friday, November 5th. Saturday, November 6th included a morning session on succession planning for landowners – how to include your heirs in your woodlands. Afternoon sessions included topics of interest for woodland owners. Saturday evening included an optional awards banquet with presentation of the state Charles Deam Forest Stewardship Award.

2009 Annual Meeting

The 2009 Annual Landowner Conference took place on October 30-31, in Jasper, Indiana. Jasper is renowned for its woodworking industry and we were pleased to tour Jasper Desk Company, a 133 year-old office furniture manufacturer. In the afternoon we toured a local landowner's property to assess regeneration issues and wildlife management. On Saturday, keynote consulting forester Dan Meisberger discussed selling timber in the weak economy. The popular concurrent sessions included "Birdwatching Basics" and "Forestry in the Farm Bill," followed by the annual meeting awards banquet and recognition of our Charles Deam award finalists.

2008 IFWOA Annual Meeting

The 2008 Conference took place on November 14-15, in Marshall, Indiana. The meeting offered a full day of field tour options on Friday and the popular evening exhibitor's social. On Saturday, State Forester John Seifer told conference goers the latest at the Indiana Division of Forestry, especially about private landowner programs. A special keynote speaker, Mike Seidl, shared "Where in the World are Indiana Hardwoods." The meeting also had the popular Woodland Owner University concurrent sessions (eight topics) throughout the day on Saturday and our traditional Awards Banquet and live auction supporting IFEF.

2007 IFWOA Annual Meeting

The 2007 conference took place on November 2-3, in Columbus, Indiana. The conference offered a full day of field tour options on Friday and the popular evening exhibitor's reception. On Saturday, National Woodland Owners Association President Keith Argow was the keynote speaker. The Woodland Owner University concurrent sessions have been continued and a children's program was added to occupy the children. 2007 was our 30th anniversary!
